Condolences extended to India over tragic stampede
(VOVWORLD) -Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Thursday sent a message of condolences to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi over casualties in the serious stampede in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh two days earlier.

The Consular Section of the Vietnamese Embassy in India reported on Thursday that to date, there is no information indicating any Vietnamese citizens were among the casualties.
The stampede, which occurred during a religious gathering of Hindu devotees, resulted in the deaths of at least 121 people.
