Dien Bien Phu Victory celebration brings great revenue to provincial tourism
(VOVWORLD) - Dien Bien province welcomed more than 1 million tourists, including 4,800 foreign tourists, from January 1 to May 7, said the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Dien Bien province. Total revenue from tourism activities reached nearly 75 million USD.

During the peak days of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum and historical relics of the Dien Bien Phu Battlefield Relics Complex received thousands of visitors every day. The rehearsal of the military parade before the celebration also attracted a big number of visitors to Dien Bien Phu city.
Last year, Dien Bien province welcomed 1 million visitors for the first time. This year, by hosting the National Tourism Year and the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, Dien Bien province aims to receive 1.3 million tourists and earn 90 million USD from tourism.
