Brochet congratulated two Vietnamese players on winning tickets to the Olympics and affirmed the French Embassy’s support for representatives of Vietnamese Sports during their competitions in France.
The Ambassador said that the purpose of the visit is to bring the Paris Summer Games closer to Vietnamese athletes, as well as to encourage the competitors. He said he hopes that in the future France and Vietnam can organize exchange matches or further cooperation to develop rowing and canoeing sports in Vietnam.
This is the first time this year that Vietnamese rowing and canoeing teams compete in the largest multi-sport arena on the planet. Pham Thi Hue (rower) and Nguyen Thi Huong (canoeist), have passed the qualifying round to win the prestigious ticket to the Paris Olympics from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
