(VOVWORLD) - Over the past years, workers in Hai Phong have promoted innovation and creativity to improve work efficiency. Many of their initiatives have benefited businesses, bringing in hundreds of thousands of USD.

“Among my innovative ideas, what I’m most satisfied with is changing the needle's speed of applying glue to ensure the glue is applied out evenly. Completed products won’t have defects and customers will only receive the best ones. This initiative has reduced labor and material waste and increased the company's production efficiency.”
“If an initiative or improvement can change even one step of operation, it will greatly reduce errors and save labor. I try to improve the smallest things. I always pay attention to work and ensure its most basic requirements.”
Nguyen Xuan Doan and Nguyen Quang Phu are the two outstanding workers who lead the movements of creativity and innovation at the LG Innotek Company in Trang Due Industrial Park, Hai Phong city. Their initiatives have saved the company hundreds of thousands of dollars and improved labor productivity.
Over the past years, LG Innotek Company, which manufactures camera modules, has been conducting discussions with workers to encourage and collect their initiatives to improve work efficiency.
Each month workers propose ideas which will then be evaluated at multiple levels. Feasible ideas are budgeted for deployment. In that way creativity has been promoted throughout the company.

Chu Anh Tu, a worker at the Toyota Boshoku Hai Phong Company in the Japan Industrial Park, is a role model in creativity and innovation.
Tu has generated many ideas that have benefitted his company and has been awarded the Creative Labor Certificate in 2019, 2020, and 2022 by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Tu said that, because his company makes car airbags, his ideas aim to reduce the risk of accidents for workers, eliminate redundant operations, and save production costs.
“Our business always values innovation. Each worker only needs to save a second or something else and that can be a worthwhile creative idea. I’m a department head. My team members and I have come up with various ideas and improvements to fulfill goals and uphold the morale of the workers,” Tu added.

Nguyen Thi Thu Hien works for the Bumhan Vina Heavy Industries Company, which makes oversized steel structures in Hai Phong city.
She has repeatedly received certificates of merit and has earned the company’s title of "Elite Engineer".
Hien researched and successfully applied a technique called "Converting gasket material to avoid gas leaks at the entrances of heat recovery boilers in mixed cycle power plants”. In 2 weeks, this initiative saved the company about 118,000 USD, said Hien.
“I’ve familiarized myself with work-handling codes and international standards. If I notice any design problem, I always prioritize progress because even a little delay in decision making can cause thousands of workers to have to pause the assembly at the construction site. I’m always determined to learn each product thoroughly and make decisions quickly to save money, time, and materials,” said Hien.
Last year Hai Phong city workers came up with thousands of creative ideas that reduced production costs and labor and improved work efficiency. Many of them were awarded certificates of merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
