According to Khanh Hoa province’s Department of Tourism, there were more than 1.2 million foreign visitors to Khanh Hoa province in the first quarter, 5-fold increase compared to the same period last year. On average, there are 40 flights per day bringing tourists from South Korea, China, Thailand, Kazakhstan, and Malaysia to Khanh Hoa on average.

This year, Khanh Hoa province aims to welcome 9 million tourists, including 3 million foreign visitors, for a total revenue of 1.6 billion USD.

To achieve this goal, Khanh Hoa will organize summer cultural and tourist activities, such as a sea tourism festival and a Bay of Light festival.

Pham Minh Nhut, Vice Chairman of the Nha Trang Tourism Association, said the province’s major international tourist markets are recovering, especially the Chinese market.

Nhut said: “Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa has favorable infrastructure to serve all customer segments. There are currently positive signals from the Chinese tourist market. In the second quarter, Khanh Hoa province will organize a trip to Ningbo, Zhejiang province, China. This is a high-end Chinese tourist market and in the second quarter Chinese tourists are expected to return to Khanh Hoa."
