Vietnamese Muay fighter wins 2024 IFMA Senior World Championships
(VOVWORLD) - Female fighter Huynh Ha Huu Hieu of Vietnam clinched a gold medal at the 2024 Senior World Championships of the International Federation of Amateur Muay Thai (IFMA) by defeating Russia’s Sofia Istratova in the final on Sunday.

Hieu, who was defending her world champion title, previously won the world title in 2019 and 2021.
Nguyen Doan Long of Vietnam won silver in the men’s 63.5 kg weight category.
The 2024 IFMA Senior World Championships, held in Greece from May 31 to June 10, attracted 1,500 athletes from 100 countries. Vietnam sent 22 fighters to the competition.
